Wedding FAQ

How many hours will you be with us? Our standard coverage is 8 hours. If more are needed we are happy to build a custom package for you.

Do I need one or two photographers? The number of guests and locations are the big determining factors for this, but the biggest benefit to having two photographers is the range of creative perspectives that will be presented in your wedding day photos. The best way to make this decision is to visit with you about your wedding day plans and logistics.

We are looking for an awesome band/makeup artist/event planner/venue/florist/doohickey... We can't wait to share our recommendations with you! Just let us know what you're looking for, and we'll do our best to match you up with one of our favorite vendors!

How much time should we allot for portraits? Every couple is different, and we will help you map out your wedding day schedule in order to allow for the time needed for the portraits you want.

How far will you travel for a wedding? We love exploring new places! We've travelled to Mauritius, Germany, 7 different Caribbean Islands, Mexico and coast to coast in the U.S. for weddings. We consider New England to be our back yard, and every weekend usually brings us to a different state. We keep our travel fees reasonable and they are quoted per assignment.

Do we get the digital files? You may add the digital files to any wedding photography package. We will also publish all the images on an online gallery for proofing and print ordering - no need for you to manage making prints for everyone, you may just share the gallery link and we will fulfill your guests' print orders. We suggest that you order your prints from us even if you've purchased the digital files, as we've calibrated our files to print perfectly at our lab. Individual image files may be purchased from this proofing website.

Can we submit our wedding to a blog or magazine? We would love to do this for you! Every year we select a handful of weddings to submit for publication, but we're always open to hearing suggestions. If there is a special blog or magazine where you think your wedding would fit well please let us know. We handle all image submissions ourselves.

What's your backup plan in case you have an emergency and can't make it to our wedding? We have comprehensive business insurance. And, we also maintain a strong and rich network of friendships with our fellow photographers throughout New England as well as further away. We've covered for fellow photographers in emergencies, and while we have never needed it, we know that they have our backs if ever needed.

What kind of equipment do you use? We carry professional Nikon camera gear, with a full set of backup equipment.

How long will we wait to see the pictures? We ask for 6 weeks in order to edit and prepare your images for viewing.

When should I order my album? You may include your album in your wedding photography package when you book us, or you may order it after the wedding. We are happy with either approach. Regardless, if you're planning on ordering an album, we do recommend starting this process as soon after the wedding as possible, while your memories are still fresh!

We are unable to meet in person, how do we meet you?  If you live too far away for an in-person meeting, or if you work crazy hours, we will find a time convenient for you to have a phone call or online video chat.

May we see a complete wedding? Yes - just ask in your email and we will be happy to share a gallery :)

We love your work, how do we hire you? Great! We can't wait to meet you! Please use our contact form to reach us, and be sure to tell us all about your wedding plans and yourselves! We will create an online booking proposal, and after you've signed this online contract and made the initial payment, your date will be on our calendar.
