A fun winter engagement in the NH lakesRead More
With almost exactly a year to go until they tie the knot, I met up with Rachel and Artem at Harkness Memorial State Park in Ct for their engagement session. It was a brutally cold and windy December day, but they loved being there and were true champs showing off their style and love for each other and their new pup Brie (who I totally fell in love with). Rachel and Artem will be married next December with an outdoor ceremony at one of our favorite venues, the Saltwater Farm Vineyard. I am so excited about them having an outdoor ceremony in the winter at a gorgeous vineyard! There's something incredibly romantic about braving the elements and celebrating your love for each other in the cold of December. I'm also incredibly curious as to how the vineyard will look and what I can do with it in images. For the session they brought a couple of blankets that we used to keep them warm, and Brie, the wonder pup.
"I just want to meet all of them!" is what one of our beautiful brides said to me recently. She was referring to all the amazing couples we have photographed in 2016 and it was the most perfect statement as it showed that we are doing what we aim to do; photographing our couples to show their personalities and tell their unique stories. Enna and I are so grateful for the year we had! So many amazing couples and moments and we are honored to have been right there to document it. We adore all of you and thank you so much for trusting us to tell your story. It was incredibly difficult to narrow it down to a reasonable number, so we decided to keep it only to weddings, and here are our absolute fav's of 2016! Grab a drink, sit back, and we hope you enjoy the images. Cheers!
I had such a blast meeting up with Begum and Barry last Wednesday for their engagement session. They will be tying the knot this August and will be doing so in grand fashion at their restaurant - 5 Corners Kitchen in Marblehead, MA. Begum and Barry were introduced to us by our good friend, former bride, and wedding planner Alison McMaster, owner of Masterfully Planned.
Begum and Barry took some time off from their crazy busy schedule of running a high end restaurant to unwind in the city, dine out, and have some photos taken. They brought along Mavi, and amazingly well behaved dog who was put to the test (and passed with flyer colors) when confronted with a flock of ducks. I can't wait to see them all again in August! Cheers ~ Matt
I am so excited to share this engagement session. Meet Autumn and Rob. They were introduced to us from our good friend and fellow photographer Pamela Price. Autumn and Rob are getting married next winter at Church Landing and they just told me that Bear Fight will be at their wedding. I am incredibly stoked about this addition! For their engagement session we started at the Massachusetts State House where Rob works for Senator Timilty, stopped by the Red Hat where they had their first date, and ended with a cheers at The Bell in Hand. It was incredibly fun to photograph these two and shoot inside the State House. Of all the places inside the State House you'd think I'd get excited about I found this amazing blue wall in an old stairwell with gorgeous daylight coming in through the windows. It was an awesome spot for a few portraits. I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with these two and can not wait to see them again at their wedding!
Cheers! ~ Matt
