sweet baby hazel

Meet Hazel! Matt and I photographed her parents' beautiful wedding a couple of years ago, and ever since then we've looked forward to the day when we could do family portraits for these lovebirds. Hazel is almost one year old now, and we met up recently for another session in her first year documentary series. Hazel is just a peanut but she is full of spunk, and I can't tell you how much I look forward to documenting her growth through the years!

Happy almost 1st Birthday, Hazel!!

welcome to the world baby hazel!!

This is a session that I've been looking forward to for many months! When Ashley and Jamie interviewed us to photograph their wedding, one of their concerns was that we could be their family photographers for years to come. We loved hearing that question, and we are so honored that they chose us to develop this special relationship with. I just adore this family, and their sweet little Hazel is absolutely precious! Here are just a couple of my favorites from our session, taken when she was one week old. She had a really good idea about who is important - she was so happy snuggling with mom and dad, and so angry when we tried to "arrange" her amongst blankets to create our "baby still life" stuff... she wanted none of it, but that's okay because my favorites from our session are the ones of her basking in Mom and Dad's love:
