Samantha and Troy : A Publick House Wedding

You never know how you're going to meet your soul mate. For Samantha and Troy it happened when Samantha signed up for guitar lessons with Troy. As they got to know each other better they ended up on a date and the rest is history. While they live in Brooklynn NY, they tied the knot in Samantha's home state of Massachusetts at The Publick House in Stockbridge MA. It was a beautiful warm spring day with just a hint of wind. Personal touches included Troy's cufflinks made from guitar amp volume control knobs, a personalized Red Sox shirt and a custom made wooden sign to honor their date. With every wedding there are moments of high emotion. While there were many at Sam and Troy's, two stand out to me: their first look, and Troy's dance with his mom. Troy's mom had worked with her physical therapist for months to get the strength to stand for the dance and there wasn't a dry eye around the dance floor when she surprised him by standing up and joining him on the dance floor.

Congratulations Samantha and Troy! We loved being there for you ~

Alyssa and Mark : A Country Club Wedding

It was a gorgeous summer day with a beautiful sunset for Alyssa and Mark's wedding at the Merrimack Valley Country Club! Alyssa was absolutely stunning in her gown from Allegria Bridal and when the sun set she was happy to go out onto the golf course greens and rock it. Their ceremony was on in the club's garden overlooking the greens and the party followed in the club's ballroom. Congratulations Alyssa and Mark!!

Anelé and Dickens : A New England Farm Wedding

We are so excited to be sharing Anelé and Dickens's gorgeous farm wedding! Their peach farm is nestled in northeastern Massachusetts, just off a main road and down a long dirt driveway. Anelé and Dickens are second generation to take over the farm and grow peaches. The orchard is incredibly well maintained and the field with a pond beside their home was the perfect location for their wedding. They met and fell in love on Martha's Vineyard where they each grew up. When they are not working the farm they enjoy trips back home for tuna fishing with family and friends. For their wedding they decided to keep it small, intimate, fun and casual. lawn games such as Cornhole, Ladder Toss, and one I don't know the name of but loved was where you have to knock a bottle off a pole with frisbee. They also had a set of golf clubs out for those who wanted to show off their driving skills.

When I arrived friends were setting up camp for the weekend, and Anelé's mom, with the help of guests, was decorating the ceremony location with beautiful flowers. There was a very cool casual vibe as everyone quietly did what needed to get done for the special day.

The overcast day provided a soft diffused light that was gorgeous for the lush greenery and spring flowers. Geese decided to visit the pond during the ceremony, which I learned later is a rare site at the farm. Anelé's gown from Tulles Bridal was backless and flowed beautifully as she walked the grounds. She went without shoes for the entire day and I loved how relaxed and casual she was all day. While her mother decorated the ceremony site, the gorgeous bouquets were provided by Flourish. After the ceremony by the pond we strolled the property for portraits, Dickens having to carry Anelé through some thick brush at one point. On the back side of the property they erected a tent on a platform, well furnished with an area rug, bed and lounge chairs, for them to spend their wedding night. The brick and stone patio served as their dance floor and was decorated with candles in the fire pit and bistro lights overhead. After a nice dinner from Fireside catering, toasts and cutting their cake, they danced the night away with DJ Mike Paganelli of C-Zone Entertainment before hopping on a decorated tractor as their getaway car.

Congratulations Anelé and Dickens!!!!  ~ Matt

Megan & Brian : A Valentine's Wedding at the Fairmont Copley

One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is finally getting to meet a couple in person that I have only had phone and/or video chats with until their wedding day. Over the past year I've enjoyed many emails and phone calls with Megan and Brian as they planned their big day and to finally meet them in person and see that they are as much fun in person as on the phone was awesome. The excitement and energy amongst everyone there was high and day went off without a hitch thanks to the team at Unique Weddings by Alexis . It was Valentines weekend, and you can't go wrong hosting a wedding at the Fairmont Copley Plaza inside the Grand Ballroom. We hope you enjoy these images!
