While I have already photographed a handful of weddings over the winter months, Katherine and Eric's spring wedding marks the official beginning of wedding season for us. I could not have asked for a more fun couple to jump start the wedding season with. Katherine and Eric's laid back personalities and ability to live in the moment was a perfect fit for my storytelling approach to photography - they gave me many beautiful moments to document. Of course, when the bride's mom (hi Lisa!) is awesome at planning charity events and she hires a great wedding planner to pull everything together, how could the couple not just sit back and enjoy their day? It was my first time working with wedding planner Corrine Hursh and I can not wait to work with her again. Everything was pleasantly on time without being rushed and the details were gorgeous! I had a tough time narrowing this edit down, but there are so many great moments that I want to share! Brown University played a major role in the day as not only is it where Katherine and Eric met, but Katherine's parents also met while attending school there. Eric requested a portrait of he and Katherine at the tree outside his dorm, which also happens to be the same dorm Katherine's parents lived in. The ceremony and portraits where done on campus and then we all headed over to the Roger Williams Botanical Gardens for their reception where guest joined them for a party led by the always fun band Night Rhythm. The botanical gardens were a gorgeous backdrop and were decorated with gorgeous tablescapes and flowers draping from the walls by Flowers by Semia and Katherine looked amazing her dress from our good friend Beth at The White Dress at the Shore.
Congratulations Katherine and Eric! It was such a pleasure to be there for you! ~ Matt
