Happy Friday everyone! We're going to start sharing a favorite photo from our archives every Friday. Today we offer a snowy image to kick off this series. Here in New England everyone's crying uncle over all this snow (including us) but when it comes to a wedding and weather, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em is the right attitude.
A few years ago Matt was invited to document an intimate wedding on a hilltop behind Sadie and Loc's family home. It was New Year's Day and the snow was coming down sideways. The two families and a few close friends gathered in the storm while Sadie and Loc exchanged vows under an arch they made from branches off the nearby trees. My fingers froze and I couldn't wipe the flakes off the lens as they would have frozen and smudged on the glass. Loc and Sadie rode away on a sled chased by their dog and celebrated in the warm home with their traditional New Year's Day meal of oysters. It truly was an amazing day and this image remains one of our favorite images in our wedding portfolio.
