Enna and I are excited to be posting Colleen and Conor's wedding! Introduced to us through a good friend, these two soul mates have been together since high school. We could feel the excitement and happiness from everyone surrounding them as we walked into the church. The ceremony was held at Phillips Andover where they both attended high school, and the reception was at the Cyclorama in Boston. Colleen's family loves horses - this is putting it lightly folks, I'm not going to write about Colleen's accomplishments as an Equestrian as it will go on and on :) But their love of horses inspired her mom to surprise her with a horse-drawn carriage to drive her to the chapel. The ceremony was beautifully personal with Colleen's brother officiating and Conor's brother playing a beautiful song. At the very end, instead of just turning and running down the aisle, they spontaneously exchanged lots of hugs and kisses with the wedding party before leaving the altar, it was amazing! Colleen and Conor hired us but had yet to secure a venue, so Enna and I asked them what they were looking for and we were able to suggest the Cyclorama which turned out to be a perfect fit - and luckily available. They loved the big open unique space that they could light up and have nice furniture scattered about for the guest to lounge in. The meal was served "Southern" style with stations and there was no assigned seating. This really contributed to the laid back atmosphere they wanted. The toasts were emotional, followed by the first and parent dances... and then the big guns came out: Colleen and Conor had a special surprise for their siblings. Hidden behind a curtain on the false wall behind the DJ was the band Bear Fight. This is Colleen and Conor's siblings' favorite bar band. Colleen and Conor arranged to end their toasts with a big thank you to their siblings while the curtain opened to reveal the band! Bear Fight immediately kicked the party into high gear! It was an amazing event, pulled together beautifully by event planner Jessica Harris of Alden Blair Events.
Congratulations Colleen and Conor!!! It was really great being there for you! ~Matt and Enna
